Jim Pickard

For over 25 years, Jim Pickard has been committed to the commercial real estate industry. Jim’s extensive background includes office and industrial brokerage, construction and facilities management, and sales support in the Akron/Cleveland markets.

In addition, he has provided design/build services for various clients and developed his own commercial portfolio. Jim’s most recent project was one of the first design/build construction projects in the newly established Akron Bio Medical Corridor-consisting of a 29,000 sq. ft. medical production and distribution facility in the Opportunity Industrial Park.

Jim is very active in the local community. He has served as councilman for the Village of Silver Lake and on the board of directors for Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and Community Support Services. He is a past chairman of the AABOR commercial industrial committee and a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 11. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for United Disability Services and various advisory boards in the community. Jim holds a BA in Logistic/Operations Management from Michigan State University and an Associate degree in Accounting from Lansing Community College.

He, his wife Leslie, and their two children are residents of Silver Lake.

Michael Weiss

As Vice President and Principal of Pickard Commercial Group, Michael Weiss is committed to providing customized and comprehensive commercial brokerage services.

Michael shows dedication to all of his clients, whether local, regional or national. In offering specific tailored services to his clients, Michael has successfully completed assignments in assisting national chains like Little Caesar’s, Domino’s, and Red Wing Shoes as well as numerous local clients in site selection, land acquisition, build to suit and lease negotiations. He also represents national and local retail and office landlords specializing in repositioning and maximizing project valuation.

Along with being involved in the day to day responsibilities of the brokerage firm, Michael also assumes responsibility for overseeing the management of offices along the Rockside Road corridor in Independence, OH. Nearly twenty years of experience at UPS has given him an extensive and unique understanding of the Greater Akron business market. As co-founder of a real estate investment company, Michael has hands on experience acquiring, repositioning/renovating, leasing and disposing of investments.

Michael continues to expand his knowledge in his field by working towards his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. He is a member of the Akron Area Board of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Brecksville Chamber of Commerce. Michael also serves on the Citizens Advisory Board for the future redevelopment of the former VA Complex and is a member of the University of Akron Student Advisory Board for the Nutrition/Dietetics Program, which provides strategic direction, resources, community engagement, and leadership to the program.

Michael lives in Brecksville, Ohio with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending time at their cabin in Southern Ohio and his family escape in Florida.

Eric P. Johnson
Eric Johnson recently joined Pickard Commercial Group as account executive. Eric joined PCG after a lengthy career in the commercial banking industry, serving the needs of smaller owner-managed businesses, middle market companies and real estate investors. Eric brings a wealth of experience in real estate transactions, including the purchase and construction of multi-family residential buildings, distribution facilities, manufacturing facilities and offices.

Additionally, Eric has consulted in financial restructuring, bank relations and negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Pickard Commercial Group, Eric assisted clients for over 20 years in corporate banking for large financial institutions in Ohio, North Carolina and Florida.

Eric has served as an instructor in finance and economics at the University of Akron and Stark State College. Eric holds a MBA with Finance Concentration from the University of Central Florida and has a BBA in Marketing and Industrial Management from Kent State University.

Eric has been involved in the community in several volunteer roles, such as trustee of the Weathervane Community Playhouse, treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 3173, and a coach and team manager for Tri-County Youth Hockey. Eric has also volunteered to raise funds for the Ohio Foundation for Independent Colleges, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Summa Foundation and Walsh Jesuit High School.

He resides in Silver Lake with his wife Laurie and their three children.

Josette Alboreo

Josette's responsibilities include all day-to-day office functions as well as producing promotional and marketing pieces for Pickard Commercial Group properties. In addition, she provides invaluable support for the associates in the office.

Josette was born in Akron, Ohio and graduted from Stow-Munrow Falls High School in 2003. After high school, she attended Kent State University, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
